Purpose:

To stabilize the CMC1 and MCP1 joints, and to prevent reposition and MCP1 joint hyperextension.

Adjusting:

For a quick correct fit: open the wrist loop, put the splint over the thumb and place the thumb pad support flat on the thumb pad, fold the wrist loop back around the wrist. In short, start distal and work towards proximal.
