Double swanneck Splint (lateral hinge) 5032 / 5035

Purpose:To limit the ‘range of motion’ (ROM) of the finger at the desired angle (both frontal and sagittal plane).Adjusting:<ul><li>To put on the spiral ring splint (SRS) you screw it around the finger. This ensures that the ring engages properly and keeps soft tissue in place.</li><li>The positioning of the SRS around the finger, in regards desired limitation of movement, is dependent on the fulcrum analysis.</li><li class="ql-indent-2">For example, if the splint needs to hinder flexion in the PIP, it is important that the spiral lies dorsally at the level of the PIP.</li><li>The length of the splint can be shortened or lengthened by pushing the proximal and distal ends of the splint towards each other, or by pulling them apart.</li></ul> Additions:Not applicableIt can be used as an addition on certain models!

Purpose:To stabilise the DIP joint. The DIP joint is positioned in extension while limited movement remains possible.Adjusting:You have the option to select an open or closed ring. If you choose the open option, please make sure to press it firmly upon fitting so that the ring stays in place.Additions:Hinge and lock (5048)

DIP stabilization splint 5023

<ul><li>5014 (3.5mm)</li><li>5114 (5.0mm)</li></ul> Purpose Deviation correction splint:To counter worsening of deviation whilst applying a slight correction to the DIP or PIP joint. Flexion is also restricted.Purpose Boutonnière splint:To keep the PIP in extension and to block flexion.Both splints can be ordered under modelcode 5014.Adjusting:<ul><li>When trying on the splint, place the ring on a quarter-turn or half-turn and then turn to the correct position via the palmar side.</li><li>With this model, it is common for the angle between the rings to be less than 90˚.</li></ul> Additions:Fixation ring (5025), Spacer (5062) and Hinge and lock (5048)
