Purpose Deviation correction splint:
To counter worsening of deviation whilst applying a slight correction to the DIP or PIP joint. Flexion is also restricted.
Purpose Boutonnière splint:
To keep the PIP in extension and to block flexion.
Both splints can be ordered under modelcode 5014.
Adjusting:
- When trying on the splint, place the ring on a quarter-turn or half-turn and then turn to the correct position via the palmar side.
- With this model, it is common for the angle between the rings to be less than 90˚.
