Purpose:

A line bow can prevent the angle between the two splints from bending during the use of the splint. If desired, the position of the rings can be fixed with one or two (bi)lateral reinforcement lines.

Code 5061 is an addition to the Swanneck splint on the photo. But it can be added to most splints, including a swanneck.
